Double the Fun

First, I want to start out by saying I'm no Bill Dance or Roland Martin. My philosophy is, as the old saying goes, "a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work!" I know guys who will bad mouth the whole experience of the day if they do not catch a fish. For me, it's about the entire experience from operating the boat, to watching Great Blue Herons fly over, to feeling the tug on the line.  Don't get me wrong, I still feel the need to "produce" in order to justify the cost of the boat, the truck, the tackle, and especially these days the gas. However, I must encourage all you to push that aside and take notice of what is around you the next time you are outdoors. Some of the greatest and most beautiful things are right there in front of us if we take the time to notice. If you can do that, you will have double the fun! I invite to comment on my posts and to send in your your stories and pictures of the great natural things you see and experience while hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing or even while strolling in your back yard. Don't worry, you don't have to be Earnest Hemingway, you just have to be willing to share a picture or two with description of what is happening. Just simply email me at afishyfella@afishyfella.com and I will share them here on www.blog.afishyfella.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
